I didn't study leadership.
I survived it.
For 20 years I managed teams, customers, and crises across some of the Caribbean’s most demanding telecom operations. What I learned in those rooms is what I teach in this one.
I’m Joshua Stewart — Business Development Director of Vivid Consultancy Group Limited, Maxwell Leadership Certified Coach, and DISC Behavioural Consultant.
I didn’t come to leadership development through a classroom. I came through operations. Through people. Through the cost of getting it wrong.
Today, Sharlene and I work with professionals and organisations across the Caribbean who are done with stagnation and ready to grow in how they lead, communicate, and show up every day.

What Shaped Me

2006–2008
The Foundation
Starting as an IT Engineer at Karib Cable in Antigua, I quickly learned that technology means nothing without the people running it. That early exposure to operations taught me that every system failure had a human decision somewhere at its root.
2008–2015
The Grind
Leading Sales, Marketing, and Communications across the Caribbean, I discovered that most team problems are communication problems wearing a different disguise. Seven years of managing people, targets, and difficult conversations gave me more leadership education than any classroom ever could.
2015–2016
The Deep End
Stepping into Head of Customer Operations meant inheriting a team, a culture, and a set of problems no one warned me about. That season taught me more about leadership under pressure than any other role I have held — and it is where I first understood that leaders are made, not appointed.
2017–2023
The Turn
Becoming Operations Manager, I began to understand that developing the people around me was the only sustainable answer to the problems I kept seeing repeat themselves. This was the period where leadership development stopped being something I read about and became something I lived deliberately.
2026
The Mission
Founding VCG full-time meant bringing everything I had learned across two decades into a structure that helps others grow faster than I did. This is not a consultancy built from theory — it is built from the rooms I survived, the teams I led, and the leader I had to become along the way.
